DigiSkills.pk has conducted a panel discussion of Digital Marketing Second Batch on 6th February 2019, under the umbrella of Virtual University of Pakistan. Renowned Industry expert Mr. Hisham Sarwar and academic experts Dr. Yasir Rashid and Dr. Zeeshan Ali were invited to talk about latest trends of Digital Marketing and to guide the trainees how to choose a skill that best suits them. The purpose of this Panel discussion was to enhance trainee’s engagement and further increase the outreach of this project.
Dr. Yasir Rashid is a qualified marketing academician, corporate trainer, Digital Consultant and tech entrepreneur who is a graduate of AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accredited foreign business schools. He is currently serving as the Digital Marketing Consultant of Pakistan under Ministry of IT and Telecom, Government of Pakistan. He came back to Pakistan from overseas in 2014 after working for multi-billion dollar firms in various roles. He became the first Pakistani Digital Marketing and Social Media Analytics expert from MIT Sloan School of Management, the USA in 2016.
Hisham Sarwar, a seasoned freelancer has always been known to be an independent thinker and a risk-taker, proving his vision time and again. Infomist, his brainchild, was established at the time when not many had foreseen the demand for website development. Since then, it has grown leaps and bounds under his visionary leadership, perseverance and hard work.
Dr. Zeeshan Ali is Assistant Professor at FAST School of Management, NUCES, and Lahore Campus. He has completed his Ph.D. from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. He has research papers in international journals to his credit. He also presented his research work in the prestigious Academy of Management conference.
